We Hate It When Our Friends Become Famous II

So this is pretty weird stuff.  Not long after Coco’s last post I was perusing papermag.com when I saw yet another  puppet-related item connected with yet another person that I know!

Okay so we’re not BFF but Leslie Strongwater of Dixon Place and I did go to High School together and I remember her as being a cute, smart, funny girl with a bit of a Michelle Trachtenberg thing going on appearance-wise.  Now she works as the artistic director for Dixon Place, a “fertile and exciting workshop/laboratory for performing and literary artists”. Leslie specifically, has experience puppeteering and directing and is responsible for bringing such shows to Dixon Place as “Puppet Blok” and the successful “Off the Hozzle”

So Good work, Leslie.  Nice to see that someone else from our high school had post-secondary plans that didn’t involve Murray Hill and a gigantic diamond.

Anyway what are the odds of the two puppet-related succesful people in New York being in print on the same day AND being people known by the two principal writers of this blog?

slim.
